MENDOCINO CO., 6/9/25 – Protests will take place across Mendocino County on Saturday as part of what is expected to be over 1,800 nationwide demonstrations, according to event organizers.

The demonstrations are in response to the policies of President Donald Trump’s second administration.

Over 190 organizations from across the country formed a coalition called No Kings to promote the events.

The demonstrations coincide with President Trump’s birthday and the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary. To celebrate, the administration and the Army are hosting a military parade in Washington, D.C. An estimated 6,600 soldiers, 150 vehicles and 50 helicopters are expected to participate.

“The “No Kings” mobilization is a direct response to Donald Trump’s self-aggrandizing $100 million military parade and birthday celebration, an event funded by taxpayers while millions are told there’s no money for Social Security, SNAP, Medicaid, or public schools,” No Kings organizers said.

Since Trump’s inauguration in January, protests have been organized almost weekly across the country by grassroots groups.

“Our Declaration of Independence was a bold NO to an actual king, a list of grievances directed directly at King George III, many of which are being mirrored now” said Janet Rosen, organizer for Indivisible Ukiah. “A criminal president is ignoring foundational American law and due process in his rush to destroy our government and institute his dictatorship. Our local action will emphasize the parallels between 1776 and 2025.”

Four protests are scheduled in Mendocino County, specifically in Fort Bragg, Gualala, Point Arena, Ukiah and Willits.

  1. Orange Man Bad party. Trump Derangement Syndrome on full display. After it is all over and there’s nothing left but litter on the lawn the policies of the entire government will be transformed. Not.

    1. Besides voting and contacting your local representative, protesting is a responsibility citizens have to make their voices heard. It’s basic democracy. It’s more than “orange man bad” – it’s a growing tyranny that just graduated to federalizing National Guard units and deploying marines against the people in this country.

    2. Free speech is the foundation of our freedom. Trump Deplorable Syndrome is a real mental disorder.

  2. Hi is there going to be riots also like in la I live in willits and I’m worried about my family getting hurt like there doing in la burning stuff down is it going to be like that should I worry please respond back toe thank my name is paul

    1. It’s a routine Los Angles event. Happens every couple of years. LA Riot. LA Riot. LA Riot. In Mendocino Country its sip some wine, smoke some weed, and have a marinated artichoke heart for a snack. Nothing to worry about.

    2. No worries. Think Philadelphia after they won the Super Bowl, just not as widespread across the city (it’s just limited to one small area in LA). 5 Waymo cars were burned, 3 businesses were damaged by looters, and some hooligans were throwing rocks and shooting fireworks at law enforcement with dozens of arrests.

    3. There were no riots in LA! Ice ran over 2 protestors and hit a third! Thats what started the chaos! Ice and Trump called it riots but they were not!

  3. Don’t worry. There have been protests in the last few months that have been totally peaceful. If Trump hadn’t escalated rhe LA demonstration there wouldn’t have been violence. We don’t need the atonal guard, marines or tanks here in Mendo co.

    1. Without Trump stepping in with law and order, the “peaceful protesters” would have burned the United States government building, Edward R. Roybal Federal Building. It would have burned up on Saturday with Newsom and Bass doing nothing about it.

    2. If Trump weren’t pursuing a bigoted, authoritarian posture, there wouldn’t be anywhere near the number of protests, and there wouldn’t be violence. His policies foment violence, and they demand a response. The elected Democratic establishment isn’t doing a heck of a lot, so it’s up to the people. See you there.

    3. Cry harder, if people start to riot ima start shooting. Protests aren’t riots…. Some asshole throws a brick at me and he’s going in the ground.

  4. The “No King” protests, planned for this weekend, are paid for by Communist party of America. Before you head out Saturday to participate understand what you are advocating.

    1. Who is paying for The Trumpster where all your political garbage belong, go Trumpster diver.

    2. Which in turn was paid for by this Singham dude who is a chinese CCP member operating out of Shanghai. Funneled through “Marxist Party for Socialism”.

So not really the Communist Part of America. The Communist Party of china.

Doubts? Nothing like a fact check. 😉

  5. Which King? King Trump or King Newsom? We are their subjects to do as their will. The reason the illegals were detained, arrested, was money laundering etc… which is drug monies. So are people protesting for Drug Kings & Drug Lords, to stay illegally? On the LA riots, I like Trumps decision, to stop the violence. I don’t want to live in a place with no laws and where there is no law enforcement. Where private property is burned and destroyed. Where foreign flags are waving. Yet they want to stay here? That makes no sense. Prayers for LA residents and Prayers for Police being in this dangerous situation 🙏

    1. You have actual worms for brains. I hope for the sake of your community you are only spewing this hateful rhetoric online like the coward I knowww you are.

    2. The LA Pokice Department did not request the National Guard and certainly not the marines. They have other steps to proceed through – requesting assistance from sheriff’s department and the mutual aid from other law enforcement in Southern California – before even requesting National Guard support from the governor. Trump now has the federalized National Guard participating in arrests, which is illegal, meaning those arrests will be dismissed in court.

  6. Boy people are blind and not getting all the real details . Trump will have destroyed the country before his 4 year term is up. Hopefully we stop him before it’s to late.

  7. We voted for Trump to take back our country. We were headed to a socialist state the communist democrats. It was under the democrats that speech was censored, rights restricted and pedophiles were held in high esteem. Support our law enforcement and stay away from this ridicules useless protest.

  8. “We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws.” Bill Clinton address to Congress 1995.
When did the Democrat Party go so far off the rails?

    1. Dave, really? Are you saying Trump respects the law and the Constitution? That’s more than a bit laughable.

  9. ICE is focusing on the “worst of the worst” as they are absolutely swamped with the task at hand. I mean really pretty nasty folk getting rolled up. Rioters with foreign funding (China via PSL) start attacking federal agents and a federal building. Requests for local law enforcement go unanswered for hours. Rioters (not protesters, there is obviously a difference) bearing Hamas arm bands and waving foreign flags, still no local cops.

So? Trump seizes the opportunity, and does so with incorrect process (simple gubernatorial notification) specifically to face legal challenges and let liberals dig themselves deeper into a hole. Protesting at all levels to keep “the worst of the worst” illegal aliens in sanctuary cities to peddle their wares.

Newsom and Bass should have allocated appropriate resources to deny Trump this golden opportunity to let California once again be the laughing stock of the nation. I mean the homelessness, drug woes, and incompetence driven fires weren’t enough already?

This idiocy will be quite useful to embattled congressional Republicans during the mid terms. Maybe that’s a good thing.
