UKIAH, CA., 4/28/26 – Local faith leaders will host a gathering for the National Day of Prayer in Ukiah Thursday afternoon.
This year marks the 74th year of the national observance, which was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman on April 17, 1952.
The law requires the president to issue a proclamation encouraging Americans “to turn to God in prayer and meditation,” local organizers said.
People of all faiths are invited to participate.
Baptist pastors Joe and Aaron Donnell will speak, and musician Carole Hester will perform at 12 p.m. outside the Mendocino County Courthouse, 100 N. State St., Ukiah.

Let us pray for the Christians and people of other faiths in Palestine as the world watches counterfeit “Israel” and Empire America slaughter people. May God recompense the sacrifices of human beings for the sake of money, power, and false religion. Amen!
