UKIAH, CA., 4/29/25 – A new exhibit opening Friday at MEDIUM Art Center in Ukiah seeks to help the viewer gain a better appreciation for the diversity found in drawing.
From graphite to charcoal, pastel to marker, “Drawn to Create” features a juried selection of works by Northern California artists centered on drawing.
Artists were encouraged to explore a range of drawing techniques, from the traditional to the experimental, the center said. Displayed works range from realism to abstraction, sketches and completed works.
This is the first exhibit since the Deep Valley Arts Collective rebranded to the MEDIUM Art Center. A nonprofit, the center offers opportunities for artists of all skill levels, as well as the art curious, to explore creativity together through exhibitions, workshops and community events.
The center will host an opening reception with music, light food and drinks, and art activities from 5-8 p.m. on Friday as part of Ukiah’s First Friday Art Walk.
