MENDOCINO CO., 2/7/25 — Caltrans workers are hardy, toiling in rain, sleet, and snow. Bridge and road projects continue throughout the county, with new projects beginning early next week. New projects are in bold type. Please drive carefully on slick and icy roads and watch for workers.
State Route 1: Bridge work at the Elk Creek Bridge continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays.
Bridge work north of Mendocino at the Jack Peters Creek Bridge from Lansing Street to south of Road 500D. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays.
Culvert work north of Mendocino from the Jack Peters Creek Bridge to Road 500D continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays.
Emergency work south of Westport from the Blues Beach Trailhead to the Overlook will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 30-minute delays.
State Route 20: Utility work in Willits at Pepperwood Way will occur on Tuesday, Feb. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays.
U.S. 101: Road work south of Willits from Route 20 to Uva Drive in Redwood Valley will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and motorists should expect up to five-minute delays.
Road work from Ridgewood Summit to north of the Willits Water Treatment Plant will begin today. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and motorists should expect up to five-minute delays.
Road work south of the North Willits Railroad Crossing to Big Trails Drive continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 20-minute delays.
Bridge work at the Long Valley Creek Bridge continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect minor slowdowns.
Electrical work will occur from Laytonville Dos Rios Road to the Cal Fire Laytonville Fire Station on Thursday, Feb. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays.
State Route 128: Utility work will occur from Nash Mill Road to Monte Boyd Road on Wednesday, Feb. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays.
State Route 162: Road work from west of the Corral Creek Bridge to west of Call Box 162-39 will occur on Monday, Feb. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays.
