MENDOCINO CO., 1/30/25 — Mendocino County sheriff’s deputies are looking for who fired more than 50 rounds of ammunition that struck several homes and vehicles in unincorporated Redwood Valley early Wednesday morning.
Deputies responded at 4:36 a.m. Wednesday to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Ellen Lynn Street and arrived to find dozens of expended .556 ammunition in the roadway and multiple residences and vehicles that had been struck by bullets, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators determined no one was injured in the shooting but several people, including children, were in homes that were struck by the gunfire.
The suspect or suspects fled following the shooting and deputies have not announced an arrest in the case. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (707) 463-4086.
