MENDOCINO CO., 12/19/24 — A 20-year-old San Francisco man died on a big curve on State Route 128 Wednesday night near Navarro when his car skidded off the road and hit a tree, according to the Ukiah office of the California Highway Patrol.
The man was driving his 2017 Honda Fit west about 9:45 p.m when he lost control of his car in the area of Mustard Gulch and hit a tree just east of the Paul Dimmick Campground. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah.
His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the CHP said. The CHP said impairment is not suspected.
