MENDOCINO CO., 10/29/24 – The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office is hoping the public can help them locate a missing man.

The man, known only as “Kojoe,” was last seen in Anaheim on June 26.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Kojoe was believed to be going to Yosemite National Park for the weekend and was supposed to return on June 29. However, he did not return and has not been heard from since.

Kojoe’s family has attempted to contact his cellphone, but all calls go straight to voicemail.

On August 16, the California Highway Patrol located Kojoe’s 2009 black Infiniti M35 on State Highway 128 in Navarro. The car was a few miles east of Paul Dimmick Campground in Navarro River Redwoods State Park, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

An initial search of the area was conducted, but Kojoe was not located. Search and rescue personnel have carried out more searches, but no investigative leads have been discovered and he remains missing.

Kojoe is a 59-year-old African American man, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Both the Anaheim Police Department and the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office are investigating this case. Anyone who sees Kojoe or who may have information helpful to this missing persons’ case should please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (707) 463-4086 or the tip line at (707) 234-2100.

  1. Where was the car parked? A few miles east of Paul dimmick is Flynn creek road, Masonite road and Navarro ridge road. Curious which direction he may have wondered.
