MENDOCINO CO., 9/23/24 – It’s a heartbreaking week for live music fans in Mendocino County. This week marks the final week for the Hopland Tap, which will close its doors on Saturday night. Owners Ron and Cheryl are hosting two back-to-back days of live music, featuring the Smokehouse Gamblers with Judy Jeanne Radiloff on Friday and the Pulsators and Danny Montana and the Bar Association on Saturday.
“Cheryl and I are going to liberate ourselves from bar ownership,” Ron Lauderbusch posted on Facebook, citing the pandemic, wildfires and floods as challenges that were “surreal” for the family-friendly pub and beer garden. “We truly love the Hopland community where we’ve made our home, and we’re not going anywhere, so we’ll be seeing you around.”
