WILLITS, CA, 9/23/24 – The pavement preservation project continues this week in Willits, which may cause traffic delays and detours.
The project started in August and focuses on installing new sidewalks, curbs, gutters, ADA ramps and fresh pavement throughout the city.
This Tuesday and Wednesday road crews will be paving Locust Street, Blosser Lane and Walnut Street.
Work continues Thursday with asphalt repairs and paving on East Commercial Street between Marin Street and North Lenore Avenue.
According to the City of Willits, construction hours are between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Access to driveways will be limited except for emergency services, so make sure to plan accordingly if you’re commuting from home or have plans during the construction hours.
No parking signs will be posted for specific days and times in the construction zones. The construction work hours could be delayed or changed due to weather conditions.

This is absolute crap they need to do it in sections not entire streets!! There poor planning and rushing is b.s. and there needs to be a break for people who HAVE TO GET OUT OF THERE DRIVEWAYS!!
You are very lucky this work is being done. I have been waiting 30 years for Bloser lane to be repaved. Two days of very needed work is a small sacrifice for what we are receiving. Everyone should be very thankful to the City of Willits for doing this work considering how small-town budgets are these days.

Thanks to Argonaut Constructors for helping to improve our city!
