UPDATED 9/6/24, 3:06 p.m. – Forward progress has been stopped on the Pine Fire, according to Cal Fire. The fire has burned an estimated 18 acres northwest of Potter Valley.

UPDATED 9/6/24, 1:52 p.m. – Cal Fire reports that the Pine Fire is 10-15 acres in size and burning northwest of Potter Valley. “There is retardant across the head, but the right flank remains active,” the agency says.

MENDOCINO CO., 9/6/24 – Firefighters are responding to a wildfire near the intersection of Tomki and Jenkins roads according to a Nixle alert from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.  

The Sheriff is asking people to avoid the area.
