UKIAH, CA., 8/29/24 – This week’s Featured Pet is America, a one- to two-year-old lab mix available for adoption at the Ukiah Animal Shelter.

America came to the shelter with her eight pups, which we named after different USA states. America’s pups have been adopted, and now it’s Mom’s turn! Yes, motherhood is a thing of the past for this sweet girl, as she learns how to be her own, puppy-free dog — ready to find her forever home! America loves people and seems to be mellow indoors. Aside from needing a little leash work and basic obedience training, we think America will make a great, well-behaved companion. Just look at her sweet, sweet face! Ms. America is a Lab X, one to two years old and 78 pounds. She’s working on getting back her pre-puppy, svelte figure!
