UKIAH, Ca., 8/28/24 – Ukiah nonprofit Deep Valley Arts Collective is seeking artist submissions for its upcoming “Myths and Monsters” show.
The exhibition ushers in spooky season by showcasing creatures from the past and present that haunt human imaginations. “From mythical creatures of ancient Greece to the modern-day zombie story, humans have always imagined the most fantastically dark beings to make our hearts race and remind us that we are alive,” the Deep Valley Collective says in a statement. “’Myths and Monsters’ will showcase a variety of artwork exploring the things that go bump in the night.”
The exhibit will open on October 4 as part of Ukiah’s First Friday festivities.
Artists may submit up to three artworks of any medium. There is no entry fee. Selected artists can list their works for sale during the exhibition with the gallery taking a commission.
