UPDATE, 8/15/24 – An official update has not been provided by Cal Fire or MSCO as of this morning. However, fire crews are no longer on the scene and the fire appears to be contained.
MENDOCINO Co., 8/14/24 – Fire crews are responding to a wildland fire in the Hopland area according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
The fire, named the Laurette Fire, is burning near Laurette Lane and S. Highway 101.
MCSO sent a Nixle alert about the incident as follows:
Situational Awareness: Wildfire in the Hopland area, near Laurette Ln/S Highway 101 in Hopland, no further action needed at this time, use caution and avoid the area. We will publish updates to mendoready.org as more information becomes available.
