UKIAH, Ca. 7/31/24 – Ukiah Branch Library will showcase the creative talents of its staff members during this Friday’s Art Walk Ukiah opening reception.
The art exhibition, titled “After Work,” features a diverse array of mixed media artworks created by staff members in their own time. The show features poetry, crochet, painting, photography, sewing, collage and other mediums.
“Each staff member brings their unique background, experience, and skillset to the library and uses their own mediums to feed their artistic passions,” the library shared in a statement.
In addition to the exhibition, the library will have a designated craft area where guests of all ages can craft matchbook altars. Mendocino County musician Clay Hawkins will perform, and there will be a book sale benefiting the Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library.
The exhibit is free and open to all ages on Friday, Aug. 2, from 5- 7 p.m., Ukiah Branch Library, 105 Main St., Ukiah, (707) 463-4490, mendolibrary.org.
