7/10/24 9:21 a.m. — This morning, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office published a Nixle that reports the wildfire was contained. Firefighters will remain at the fire area mopping up. Here’s the Nixle:
CANCEL Situational Awareness: Wildfire in the VICHY SPRINGS RD UKIAH area, near CANCEL ALERT VICHY SPRINGS RD UKIAH, No further action needed at this time We will publish updates to mendoready.org as more information becomes available. Cancel Previous Alert The 1Fire is contained, the fire department is remaining on scene for mop up in the area of Vichy Springs RD, please use caution if traveling in the area.
The cause of the fire has not been reported.
MENDOCINO CO., 7/9/24 — Fire crews are responding to a wildfire near the 3200 block of Vichy Springs Road northeast of Ukiah near Vichy Springs.
The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office published a Nixle alert reading:
Situational Awareness: Wildfire in the VICHY SPRINGS RD, DEERWOOD ELDORADO RD UKIAH, No further action needed at this time
A small column of smoke is visible from various ALERTCalifornia cameras, including the Laughlin Ridge camera. There are no evacuations in place at this time.
