UKIAH, Ca., 7/25/24 – Big Lots is closing its Ukiah location. It’s one of many locations closing throughout Northern California, according to The Press Democrat.
The webpage for the Ukiah location displays a banner at the top declaring “CLOSING THIS LOCATION” in white capital letters set on Big Lots’ signature shade of orange. The store is having a 20% off sale as of today.
Big Lots, which is based in Ohio, announced it would close up to 40 locations nationwide in May. The company has been struggling financially according to Federal Exchange Commission filings. Bruce Thorn, chief executive officer of Big Lots, blames inflation and economic instability.
The closure comes in the wake of other discount stores closing, including 99 Cents Only stores and select Dollar Trees.
We contacted the Ukiah Big Lots and were not able to confirm a closure date.

Our economy is in the dumps thanks to biden/Harris. Wake up and vote for Trump. Its our only chance to right the ship.
Wall Street doesn’t agree. So if there is a problem with your wallet, blame the people who refuse to pay their fair share and the well funded groups that support them. Get rid of the Big Money in politics. End use of the Electoral College. One person one Vote. The Supreme Court needs a Spine. We will give them one that they will have to follow. People, Please do not vote for a Convicted (34 times) Felon.
Larry understands the problems and Laba doesn’t.
