MENDOCINO CO., 9/24/20 — The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man killed yesterday in an apparent familial property dispute. Jamie Eugene Wilcox, 44 of Ukiah, was shot yesterday and was found dead at his property on Twining Road.
Law enforcement allege that the shooter was Wilcox’s step-father, Thomas Dean Jones, 68 of Ukiah. According to Sheriff Matt Kendall, Jones was waiting on the porch when deputies arrived and turned himself in without incident. He has been booked into Mendocino County Jail on murder and attempted murder among other charges.
