MENDOCINO Co., 9/2/20 — It’s two months until the November elections, with ballots being mailed out on October 5, and you can now start figuring out who you might vote for in local elections through the candidate’s statements, which are now available online. There are also two measures on the ballot, both related to Willits, and the full text of those measures is available to read.
Here’s the list of who’s running for office this year, with two competitive supervisors’ races in Districts 1 and 2, a number of candidates vying for the Ukiah City Council, and some contested seats in a number of special districts. The full text of the two ballot measures, including a bond for the Willits Unified School District, and an emergency sales tax increase for the City of Willits are now available to read on the county’s website. All of the candidates’ statements can be found on this county webpage.
