MENDOCINO Co., 12/3/19 — Do you love to ice skate, or have you always wanted to try it out? It’s time again for the fourth annual holiday ice skating rink at Alex Thomas Plaza in downtown Ukiah, known as Ukiah on Ice, and this Sunday, December 8, you can skate for free while enjoying live music, ornament making, face painting, refreshments, and more entertainments for the whole family, thanks to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley and Adventist Health Howard Memorial.
The free community skating party will take place Sunday, December 8 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ice Holiday Skating Rink in Alex Thomas Plaza in Ukiah. Here’s all the details in the announcement:
Adventist Health Invites Community to Free Community Skate and Holiday Fun
Tuesday, December 3, 2019 (Ukiah, CA) – In the spirit of the holiday season and giving back, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley and Adventist Health Howard Memorial are inviting the community to a free community skate party on Sunday, December 8, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Ukiah on Ice Holiday Skating Rink.
Admission will be free to the community during the event, sponsored by the hospital, along with fun holiday activities for the whole family, including a craft station and a hot cocoa bar.
“It’s our way of spreading some holiday cheer to the community and giving back as our thank you for their support to our hospitals and clinics all year round. And the free family skate events give families a safe, convenient activity to celebrate the season,” share Jason Wells, president for both Adventist Health hospitals.
Adventist Health has been supporting the Ukiah on Ice Holiday Skating Rink since it started in 2016 as part of the hospital’s 60thanniversary celebration. “The holidays are all about community, bringing everyone together and making memories. It’s important to us to able to support family-friendly activities especially during the holidays,” concludes Wells.
Aside from free ice skating, families can enjoy kid-friendly activities such as crafting holiday ornaments, face-painting, snacks and refreshments.
The free community skate is open to anyone in the community and is located at the Alex Thomas Plaza.
