UPDATE 3:15 p.m. — Some ground firefighters will remain on the scene to mop up, but the aircraft have all been recalled to base.
UPDATE 2:40 p.m. — Cal Fire has now recalled the air tanker that was circling the fire, though the helicopter remains on the scene. They have also cancelled additional ground resources. This is a good sign, as it generally indicates that they are getting the fire under control and.
MENDOCINO Co., 11/01/19 — Cal Fire along with Redwood Valley Fire, Little Lake Fire, and other local departments are responding to what is being called the “Foster Fire,”a quarter acre timber fire on Foster Mountain in Redwood, with fire crews accessing the blaze via Tomki Road. A Cal Fire air response is currently under way that includes at least one tanker and one helicopter.
The fire is currently less than a 1/4 acre in size with good road access, and crews are responding.
