MENDOCINO CO., 7/20/19 — A 21 year old man was killed in a hit and run accident, Thursday, July 17 near Mendocino. Calum Hunnicutt, who attended Mendocino High School, was struck by a Toyota Tundra at the intersection of State Route 1 and Little Lake Rd. while skating boarding — the driver fled the scene and is still at large.

Hunnicutt was much beloved, and there has been an outpouring of grief from the community. A Facebook fundraiser has been organized to support his family.
