7/23/19 — Mendocino County staff will be holding a public meeting, Wednesday July 23, in the supervisors’ chambers in Ukiah, concerning the county’s wildlife management program, and a draft environmental impact review (EIR). The program has been quite controversial in the past few years, with a couple lawsuits files on the bases of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
The program deals with the county’s method of dealing with, often predatory, wildlife — which historically has involved trapping and killing. There is currently a public comment period open for the draft EIR. Here are some details of the announcement:IWDMProgram_NOAlegalnotice
