WILLITS, 5/31/19 — A small earthquake hit Mendocino County, northwest of Redwood Valley in the Laughlin Range, at around 12:24 p.m. today. The United States Geological Survey has said that the quake was a 2.8, and readers are reporting the quake was felt in both the Ukiah and Willits area. The epicenter of the quake was very near the location of a number of other small recent earthquakes, and of a similar intensity, that is, just west and uphill of Tomki Rd., between Pine Mountain an Redwood Valley, near the Abhayagiri Monestary.
The temblor’s epicenter was 2.1 kilometers below the surface of the earth.
