MENDOCINO Co., 5/6/19 — Mendocino County’s mental health services have been in transition over the past several years, as the county switched from multiple private contractors to one, and voters also approved a county wide measure, Measure B, to provide additional funds for mental health resources. This month, the National Alliance on Mental Illness will be hosting two different public events in Ukiah and Fort Bragg to initiate community conversations around mental health services and what our communities need to support those in crisis, including addressing gaps in available programs and resources.
The two forums, which are part of the county’s “Stepping Up” initiative, will take place on May 8 and May 9 in Ukiah and Fort Bragg. All the details are included below, in the full press release from the county:
