UKIAH, 4/22/19 — Earth Day officially takes place today, April 22, but there are events planned to celebrate our planet all around the county, all week — including a big celebration in Ukiah on Saturday, April 27. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include a number of vendors and local community organizations in Alex Thomas Plaza.
In addition to the farmers’ market, the Ukiah Earth Day events includes interactive booths, crafts with recycled materials, bicycle information, repairs, and events, including big wheel trikes, yoga, vegetarian food, music, educational activities, a “zero waste challenge,” and much more! Organizers include the City of Ukiah, Walk and Bike Mendocino, North Coast Opportunities, and the Ukiah Valley Trail Group.
