Identities of victims in Ridgewood Grade shooting released — suspect in custody — suspect is victim’s son

UPDATE, 7/7/18 — A GoFundMe fundraising campaign has been started to pay for the funerals of Calixto Ramirez, 50, and Miguel Ramirez, 30, a father and son who were allegedly killed by their son and brother, Ubaldo Ramirez. Though not confirmed by official channels, information from the community indicates that Miguel did not make it, even after being transported out of county for medical treatment, and succumbed to the gunshot wounds.

MENDOCINO CO., 7/3/18 — A suspect has been caught in the shooting and homicide that occurred, yesterday afternoon, on the Ridgewood Grade portion of US Route 101. A father and son, Calixto Ramirez, 50, and Miguel Ramirez, 30, were the victims — Calixto died on the Ridgewood Grade and Miguel was airlifted to an out of county hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The main suspect, who has been booked into Mendocino County Jail on charges of homicide and attempted homicide, is Ubaldo Ramirez Davilla, 23, Calixto’s son and Miguel’s brother. The family is from Covelo.
