MENDOCINO Co., 7/24/18 — A small wildfire broke out near Philo around 1:20 p.m. today, but was quickly stopped and contained by the efforts of firefighters from CalFire and the Anderson Valley Fire Dept.

The fire was dubbed the Rays Incident, after the road near where it started, and topped out at about five acres, with another half acre spot fire.
