MENDOCINO CO., 6/7/18 — Firefighters have contained a small brush fire in the Forks area in Ukiah, which may have been caused by a vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol incident page. Firefighters are currently on the scene and the fire has been contained, according to scanner traffic around 2:20pm. However, traffic on Highway 101 northbound is backed up near the Lake Mendocino exit.

The fire was initially reported by CHP at around 1:50 p.m. and was significantly less than an acre in size according to scanner reports.

  1. I would sincerely hope that this fire would be contained quickly, Cal Fire is very close by. They’re just around the corner on N. State Street.
