Dear Editor:
Creative. Collaborative. Solution-based. Fortitude. This is Susy Barsotti, third district Supervisorial candidate. Susy is a keen business woman and Mendocino County event promoter who has made collaboration and sustainability her life’s work. I admire Susy’s ability to combine vision with follow through, to promote and support community well-being, and to encourage the best in those around her.
Having promoted events and co-developed a self-sustaining community at Black Oak Ranch for 24 years, Susy’s skill set includes: business management, understanding the County’s regulatory framework, human resource management, environmental stewardship, multi-generational planning, and persistence. This skillset is immediately transferrable to County Supervisor.
Susy has identified key issues facing the third district. Listening to the people of North County, she has developed solutions for creating comprehensive fire prevention programs; improving trails, transit, and emergency access; streamlining regulations to build affordable housing; supporting local economic development and diversification; supporting and promoting our cannabis economy; and more. You can learn more about these issues at barsottiforsupervisor2018.com.
When I think about the challenges we currently face in the third district and who I want to represent me on County policy and personnel issues, Susy is my pick. Join me in supporting Susy Barsotti for Supervisor.
Viva Mendo!,
Alison Pernell
