MENDOCINO Co., 2/17/18 — Have you ever wanted to see your sculpture surrounding by the plants and flowers of the Mendocino Coast?
The 7th annual sculpture show at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg will be unveiled in May, and the Arts Council of Mendocino is seeking artists to contribute sculptures to the show. The selection process takes places every other year through jury selection. The sculpture will be placed in amongst the grounds of the Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg, and visitors will be able to enjoy a rotating show of sculpture available for purchase. If the weather is good, there will be an opening party and artists reception to kick off the show.

The sculpture gallery at the Botanical Gardens includes ten pieces of sculpture, ranging from “abstract and figurative sculpture, water features, kinetic sculptures and monumental works” from local and regional artists. The maximum display period is two years, and 60% of sales will go to the artist with the remaining split between the Arts Council and the Botanical Gardens.

CALL TO ARTISTS: Seeking sculptural work for Sculpture Gallery at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, Fort Bragg, CA
The Arts Council of Mendocino County and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are preparing to present a seventh exhibition of sculpture on the grounds of the Botanical Gardens. Visitors are able to view and enjoy the artwork in an intimate, natural setting, connected by meandering paths and quiet walkways. The next unveiling of the sculpture in the gardens will be May 2018, and will feature a rotating collection of artwork for sale.
