MENDOCINO Co., 2/19/18 — The Army Corps of Engineer is revising the master plans for Lake Mendocino and Lake Sonoma, and they want to hear from you. Three public meetings will be held this coming week, one on February 21 in Ukiah and two in Geyserville on February 22. The Army Corps owns and operates both lakes.
Every project developed by the Army Corps is guided by these master plans, and this will be the first opportunity for the public to provide input as the plans are being devised. “The plans are written to include future possible developments on public lands, and they are intended to ensure the sustainability of the lakes and surrounding public lands now and into the future,” states a press release from the Army Corps.
The same information will be presented at all three meetings, including information on both the Lake Mendocino and Lake Sonoma master plans. The one in Ukiah will take place on Wednesday, February 21 at Ukiah High School from 4 – 8pm at 1000 Low Gap Road in Ukiah.
