MENDOCINO Co., 2/23/18 — The year of the dog is underway, and to celebrate Chinese New Year, the Instilling Goodness Elementary and Developing Virtue Schools held a celebration on February 17 at Alex Thomas Plaza in downtown Ukiah. In addition to performances including taiko drumming and the school orchestra, tables were set up to share traditional crafts and refreshments with visitors, including constructing Chinese paper lanterns and drinking boba tea. The Mendocino Voice took some video and photos during the event to share with those who couldn’t make it. Enjoy!
