MENDOCINO CO., 11/20/17 — The decorated Holiday Trolley has carried families and friends around Ukiah for two decades, creating holiday spirit and bringing both fun and ease to travel between holiday shopping, dining, and wintertime events. This year, the free trolley rides begin November 24, the day after Thanksgiving, and continue through December 23.

The Holiday Trolley
The trolley, decorated with lights and holiday garlands, will take 45 minute route around downtown Ukiah, stopping at local shopping centers, restaurants, and the temporary ice skating rink that will open December 2nd. You can catch the trolley at the designated stops in the map below, or just flag it down from a safe location and hop on board.
“The trolley is a traditional part of Ukiah’s holiday festivities and is a favorite with families and children,” said Carla Meyer, general manager of MTA in a press release. “We applaud the many generous local businesses who support the free service and make it a wonderful success.”
The trolley itself was purchased in 1997 and has been a beloved holiday vehicle ever since. The program is “a partnership between Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce,
Ukiah Main Street Program and MTA, with major sponsorship from Savings Bank of Mendocino County,” and over 20 different businesses have also contributed to the program.
