MENDOCINO Co., 4/18/2017 — Bell Springs Road, which was blocked by a moving van last night, is re-opened to locals only. Sheriff Tom Allman reports that this road is not suitable as a detour around the slide on Highway 101 and recommends Highway 20 as a much longer alternative, but also much safer.
The 101 is still fully closed from 15 miles south of Garberville to the junction of State Route 1.
State Route 1 is fully closed from 1.45 miles south of Mill Bank Resort to South Fork Eel River.
One of four lanes of the 101 is closed from Cedar Creek Culvert to Scandia, just before Leggett. Work is also being done on the 101 at .37 miles south of Bridges Creek Bridge and .5 miles north of Dora Creek Bridge.
Iversen Road in Anchor Bay was blocked by a tree early this morning. The tree is cleared, but some debris remained, as of 6:03am.
There is one-way traffic on Route 175 from Buckman Drive to a private road.
