MENDOCINO Co., 4/14/2017 — There are a couple of obstacles in the roads this morning. Mountain View Road is blocked by a slide at mile marker 14.10, about halfway between Route 128 and the coast. CHP expects the road to be closed most of the day.

At 4:44am, CHP received a report of a small tree blocking both lanes of Route 20 on a blind curve at mile marker 22, between Willits and Fort Bragg. However, there is a large gravel turnout that vehicles can use to get around the tree. Shortly after 5am, CalTrans’ estimated time of arrival was 45 minutes.

The next storm system at sea is expected Sunday, with gusty southeast winds. Today, the forecast at sea is northwest winds 5 to 15 knots, with waves west 9 feet at 13 seconds and a chance of showers. Tonight, winds are expected to shift to the north, at 10 to 15 knots with waves northwest 3 feet at 3 seconds and northwest 8 feet at 12 seconds.

In Point Arena, the forecast is mostly sunny, with a high around 58, dropping to 46 tonight. A north northwest wind is expected to blow steadily all day at 8 to 14 miles per hour and gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
 
In Fort Bragg, the forecast is mostly sunny, with a high around 56, dropping to 42 tonight. A light and variable wind is expected to shift to the northwest this morning, then become northerly tonight.
 
In Willits, hte forecast is sunny, with a high around 58, dropping to 36 tonight. Expect patchy frost after 2am. A light northwest wind is expected to blow 6 to 11 miles per hour today, then subside to a light and variable condition late tonight.
 
In Ukiah, the forecast is sunny, with a high around 61, dropping to 37 tonight. A light and variable wind is expected to shift to the northwest this morning, and blow 8 to 13 miles per hour. Wind will shift to the west northwest tonight and subside to light and variable late tonight.
