MENDOCINO Co. 2/23/2017 — A quiet day on the roads so far this morning. There is a flagging operation on Highway 101, just 1.61 miles south of Rattlesnake Summit, due to a slide removal, expected to be finished today. There is still some work on Hwy 162. A flagging operation is still in effect at The Middle Way, due to drainage work. The eastbound lane of 162 is still closed due to slide removal.

There is debris in the road on Hwy 20 near Elledge Ranch Road east of Redwood Valley following a traffic collision. No injuries were reported.

There was an unspecified traffic hazard on Hwy 253 at mile marker 6 early this morning.

Mendocino County Dept of Transportation is having an emergency meeting with interested parties to bid on building a temporary bridge over the sinkhole on Orr Springs Road. Bid proposals and materials price lists are due at the MCDoT office at 3pm tomorrow, following an 11am gathering at the site of the damage.
