One of two lanes on southbound 101 is closed, from 222, at Talmage, to 253, the Boonville road.
A slide is covering the eastbound lane of Hwy 20 between Willits and Fort Bragg this morning. The National Weather Service is predicting more of the same this weekend, with heavy rains likely to flood low-lying areas. Keep an eye on the 128 and the 1 near the Garcia and Navarro rivers, and the 175 at Hopland. Sandbags are available at local fire stations and Friedman’s home improvement. The sheriff has a good compilation of predictions and advice from the Office of Emergency Services and the national weather service.
In one-way traffic news, PG&E has a permit to do some work on Hwy 1 at mile marker 4.5 near Ocean View Drive. One-way traffic control will be in effect.
A collision with no injuries was reported at 7:17am on State Route 20/Potter Valley Road.
There was a “vehicle versus building” hit and run on the 101 near Laytonville this morning. No injuries were reported.
The roads look a little frosty this morning. Cal Trans warns that ice can stay on the roads well into the afternoon, especially in the shade.
