UPDATE 1/22/17 4:50am: Highway 175 at Highway 101 is now closed due to flooding.
11:20pm: The highway is now open.
MENDOCINO Co., 1/17/17—Highway 101 is closed a half mile north of Hopland due to a fallen tree “larger than a telephone pole” that is blocking both lanes. The tree fell at 9:40 and remains closed as of 10:55pm, according to the California Highway Patrol. Law enforcement is on the scene telling people to turn around. We’ll update when there’s more information – the road is expected to open in the next 10-15 minutes.
Highway 128 at the mouth of the Navarro remains closed at this time as well.
