CalTrans expects to finish two projects today, and start a few more. Projects starting today are:
On Route 1, from mile marker 33.9 to 34.9, The Harbor House will be doing drainage work, starting December 19. There will be one-way traffic control from 9am to 3pm.
PG&E will begin tree work on Route 128, between Nash Mill Road and Anderson Valley Way today. There will be one-way traffic control between 9am and 3pm weekdays.
Also on Route 20, there will be paving work between the Lake County line and a private road, beginning December 19. There will be one-way traffic control from 8am to 5pm weekdays.
Projects expected to be completed today are:
On Route 20, pavement repairs with one-way traffic control from the North Calpella Overcrossing to Road 260 is expected to be completed December 19.
On Route 253, near Robinson Creek Road, one of two lanes will be closed, due to utility work expected to be finished December 19..There will be one-way traffic control between 9am and 4pm.
Road closures:
Highway 101 is still closed from Piercy, in northern Mendocino County, to the Humboldt County line, from mile marker 106.80 to mile marker 103.97. There is currently a detour diverting traffic from Highway 101 to Highway 271, due to emergency work expected to be finished December 30.
The following roads will be closed until further notice:
Miner Hole Road, at mile marker 0.15 (600 feet from Highway 1, in Point Arena)
Fort Bragg, Sherwood Road, from mile marker 5.08 to 27.54
Ten Mile Road, from mile marker 0.18 to 1.68
Navarro Ridge Road, from mile marker 8.82 to 13.10
Usal Road, from mile marker 6.26 to 24.30
One of two lanes on Highway 101 at Cal Fire at Leggett is still closed, due to work expected to be done January 31.
Further south, one of two lanes on the 101 north of Cloverdale is closed, due to work from 1.5 miles north of Comminsky Station Road to north of Frog Woman Rock expected to be finished December 31.
Road work coming up this week includes:
Starting December 20, PG&E will be doing utility work on Route 1, at mile marker 3.5 near Road 8067. There will be one-way traffic control from 8am to 4pm.
On Route 101, work near Frog Woman Rock is ongoing, with northbound traffic restricted to one lane, 24/7.
The 101 near Standish-Hickey Park is one-way, with a temporary traffic signal, due to slide work.
On Route 101, at the Elizabeth Jane Rosewarne Bridge, the northern span of the Eel River Bridge, utility repairs continue with one-way traffic control from 8am to noon.
Geotechnical studies on Route 162, at the Middle Fork Eel River Bridge continues, with one-way traffic control from 8am to 4pm weekdays.
Also on Route 162, PG&E will be doing utility work near the Town Creek Bridge, starting December 23. There will be one-way traffic control from 9am to 4pm.
