MENDOCINO Co., Dec. 7, 2016 — The following information is from a December 7 press release issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The Mendocino Voice has not independently confirmed the information. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
On Dec. 3, MCSO deputies were dispatched to the Buckhorn Bar, where reported fight had occurred. Earlier in the evening, the victim had gone to the bar, when his girlfriend arrived and started yelling at him. The victim and the suspect, 24 year old Sabrina Duncan, then walked to the back of the bar, where Duncan proceeded to hit the victim in the face several times. As he put his arms in front of his face to defend himself, Duncan then threw a glass cup at him, then picked up a plastic chair and hit him with it several times. Duncan then put down the chair and left the bar on foot.
Deputies found the suspect and victim at a residence on Highway 162. The victim had minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Duncan was arrested and bail was set at $30,000.

Synopsis: On 12-03-2016 at about 11:30 PM, Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Buckhorn Bar (76360 Highway 162 in Covelo, California) regarding a reported fight between a male and female inside of the business.When the Deputies arrived they were advised both persons were gone and might be located at a residence in the 75000 block of Highway 162 in Covelo, California.
Deputies responded to the residence where they contacted both persons.The Deputies learned the adult male had gone to the Buckhorn Bar when his girlfriend, Sabrina Duncan, came into the business while yelling at him. The adult male and Duncan walked to the back of the bar at which time she started hitting him in the face several times with her fist.The adult male placed his arms up to prevent Duncan from hitting him in the face. Duncan then picked up a glass cup and threw it at the adult male. When the glass cup missed the adult male, Duncan picked up a plastic chair and hit him with it several times.The adult male again placed both and his arms in front of his face while Duncan hit him with the chair.After hitting him several times, Duncan put down the chair and left the business on foot.
The adult male had minor injuries to his left hand and knuckle area and declined medical treatment.Duncan was booked into the Mendocino County Jail on the listed charges and was to be held in lieu of $30,000.00 bail.
