On 11-16-2016 at approximately 8:45 PM Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a reported domestic violence disturbance that occurred in the 13100 block of Nokomis Road in Hopland, California.Deputies arrived and learned a 46 year-old female adult had been in an argument with her ex-boyfriend, Eduardo Sanchez, earlier in the evening. The argument escalated and Sanchez grabbed the female adult around her throat and choked her to the point she could not breath for period of about 3-5 seconds. Sanchez let the female adult go and she fled to a nearby casino and reported the incident to casino security personnel who called the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies observed visible injuries on the female adult’s neck. A few minutes later, Sanchez arrived at the casino parking lot and contacted Deputies.
Sanchez was placed under arrest for felony domestic violence battery (273.5 PC) without incident and was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
