Synopsis:
On 10-08-2016 at approximately 11:16 AM, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a reported physical assault in the 31000 block of Sherwood Road in Fort Bragg, California.

After Deputies arrived on scene they contacted an Adult Female and Christopher Rennacker.  During their investigation, Deputies learned the Adult Female and Rennacker were cohabitating partners and involved in a romantic relationship.

Deputies determined the couple had engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into Rennacker physically assaulting the Adult Female.  Deputies observed the Adult Female had a visible injury to her body as a result of being assaulted by Rennacker.

Rennacker was also confirmed to be on misdemeanor summary court probation, with a term of probation that he obey all laws.

Deputies subsequently arrested Rennacker for violation of California Penal Code Sections 273.5 (Corporal Injury to Spouse/Cohabitant) and 1203.2 (Violation of Probation).

Rennacker was booked into the Mendocino County Jail on the listed charges and was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
