Urban water usage on the North Coast has increased minimally compared to other portions of California.
The Fort Bragg City Council downgraded the city’s water emergency from a Stage 4 water crisis to a Stage 2 water alert because the city’s 22.6 million gallon reservoir is at capacity and the desalination unit is now operational.
The Fort Bragg City Council voted unanimously on Monday to upgrade its drought emergency to Stage 4, which will require residents and businesses to conserve 10% more water than they already have been.
The meeting will address the current state of water resources and possible policy recommendations, as well as questions from the public.
There will be updates from county officials and partners, and time for questions and comments from the public.
