City officials aren’t yet saying what crime Waidelich is suspected of committing, but the investigation is being conducted by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
The posts appear to violate multiple sections of UPD Policy 388, which prohibits content that could compromise the reputation of the Ukiah Police Department on social media.
The defense is moving to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that the case is inactive, but plaintiff Amanda Carley’s layers countered with a motion to bring the matter before a jury.
The victim has been identified by sheriff’s deputies as James Robert Anderegg, a 63-year-old man from Ukiah.
The victim’s name is not yet being released, but 69-year-old Leslie Adelman has been arrested by the Ukiah Police Department and charged with murder.
