MENDOCINO CO., 10/21/25 — The Native Arts Expo will return to the Mendocino Coast this Friday and Saturday for its ninth annual celebration showcasing the culture and history of Indigenous communities. The event gives tribal groups a chance to share their art and stories with the community.
The Native Arts Expo began in 2015 at the Gualala Arts Center. As it grew in size, the event eventually moved to the Mendocino Art Center in 2023. This year’s expo will again take place at the Mendocino Art Center, 45200 Little Lake St. in Mendocino.
The event was created by locals Eric and Karen Wilder to bring cultural and artistic discussions about Indigenous art to the Mendocino community. The Native Arts Expo will feature jewelry, art and other Tribal goods for sale, as well as local food vendors. The event will also include storytelling, a panel discussion, music and dancing. The expo highlights the art, history and culture of Indigenous groups from both North and South America.
According to a social media post by the Mendocino Arts Center, the event is an “artistic celebration of the rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions of Indigenous communities. The event is for the public and showcases the incredible creativity and talent of Indigenous artists from across the nation and provides a platform for them to share their stories, traditions, and perspectives with the wider community.”
The Native Arts Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Mendocino Art Center, 45200 Little Lake St. in Mendocino. The event is free and open to the public. To see the full schedule for the Native Arts Expo, click here.
