MENDOCINO CO., 9/6/25 – The evacuation warning for Fawnwood Drive has been canceled, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office said.

The warning was issued due to a wildfire in the area east of Ukiah.

The cause of the fire has not been announced by local authorities.

Despite the Sheriff’s Office telling residents to visit mendoready.org to learn more, no further information is available about the fire or emergency orders.

Wildfire sparks evacuation warning on Fawnwood Drive

An evacuation warning was issued for the area of Fawnwood Drive east of Ukiah at 2:10 p.m. Saturday due to a wildfire, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office said.  

The Sheriff’s Office asked that people avoid the area to allow for emergency crews to easily access the area.  

Smoke from a wildfire was visible on the Laughlin Ridge wildfire camera.

An evacuation zone was not provided by the Sheriff’s Office, nor has the mendoready.org website been updated with any evacuation information.
