3/16/25 – FORT BRAGG, CA. –  A new location for California Redemption Value recyclable beverage containers opens Wednesday in Fort Bragg according to the city’s waste collector.

Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church at 255 S. Harold St. will serve as the new mobile redemption site, Redwood Waste Solutions said. The site will accept CRVs for cash redemption every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a brief closure from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch.

This is the waste collector’s first coastal location for the waste collector. Three inland locations are offered in Ukiah, Laytonville and Willits.

More information on how to participate in the CRV program is available at https://candswaste.com/services/crv-buy-back/.

  1. The CRV might have started as an idea to get people to recycle back before recycling was widespread but it like so many political solutions to problems is now outdated. Recycling is widespread and the CRV has become nothing but a burden.

    1. maybe a burden for the state to pay what they PROMISED TO PAY, but as usual the state is trying to get out of their own creation, AGAIN. we PAY at the register, and get f*cked at the buyback. And who gets rich? The ones telling you 100 pounds max per day. THATS WHO. nice trucks btw. right up there with do nothing Caltrans.
