MENDOCINO CO., 8/28/18 — The United States Forest Service, which is responsible for management of the Mendocino National Forest, recently created a “Burned Area Emergency Respond Team” (BAER team), which has finished its assessment of southern part of the fire scar left by the Ranch Fire. The BAER team will be holding a community meeting in Nice, on Thursday at 6 p.m., to present its findings, and the public is invited.
