Farmers & Food Producer Feedback Needed on New Community Kitchen in Mendocino
June 1st (Ukiah, CA) North Coast Opportunities is currently running two online surveys soliciting farmer and food producer needs of a possible community, commercial kitchen facility in Mendocino County.
These surveys are designed to gather information from entrepreneurs, companies and organizations who might be prospective tenants or beneficiaries of a new commercial kitchen facility and is being gathered as part of a feasibility study carried out by North Coast Opportunities.
“This feasibility study is to understand what our community thinks a properly equipped commercial kitchen in our area should look like in order to help local farmers and food producers expand their operations,” says Community Wellness Project Manager Fontaine McFadden. The information provided by individuals is confidential and will not be shared with the public. The surveys can be found at: The Agricultural Producer Survey
This survey is for anyone who grows/raises food in Mendocino or Lake counties, at a small or large scale — including, but not limited to: Berries, Cannabis, Cut Flowers, Dairy, Diversified Vegetables, Eggs, Fiber, Livestock: Beef, Lamb, Poultry, Pork, etc., Melons, Mixed Herbs: Culinary & Medicinal, Orchard Fruit, Seafood, Seeds & Grains, Tree Nuts, Wild Harvested Foods, Wine Grapes, etc.
