POINT ARENA, CA., 4/9/26 — A 34-year-old man from Point Arena has been arrested for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia after Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to investigate reports of someone smashing vehicle windows with a metal pipe.

Randy Pike Jr. was arrested on Rancheria Road in Manchester after being found hiding near a vehicle that matched the description of the one said to be associated with the person with a metal pipe. Deputies drew their tasers and warned Pike to lay on the ground, and Pike was detained without incident.

Deputies searched the vehicle Pike allegedly fled from and found drug paraphernalia used to ingest methamphetamine. They also found numerous beer cans in and around the vehicle. Pike admitted drinking throughout the day, which violated the terms of his post-release community supervision.

Pike was arrested and transported to the Mendocino County Jail. During transport, the sheriff’s report said that he began to lose consciousness and told a deputy he had ingested something. Pike was transported to the hospital with lights and sirens, where he was treated and later cleared for booking.

The reported vandalisms of vehicle windows are still being actively investigated by the Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office at 707-463-4086 (option 1). Information can also be provided anonymously by calling the non-emergency tip-line at 707-234-2100.
